  8.  Welcome to 'Tome of Myths'.  This is a hypertext type application
  9.  that outlines the characters and stories that make up common
  10.  legends.  The complete book is divided into two sections;
  11.  'Classical' - covering the Greek and Roman myths, and 'Tolkien & 
  12.  Folklore' - covering more modern myths.
  13.  
  14.  The book employs an easy to use icon based navigation system as
  15.  well as full online help.  To open a section simply double click
  16.  on it's icon.

  18.  This is the shareware version of 'Tome of Myths' and so as such
  19.  is freely distributable as long as it remains intact.  It should
  20.  be noted that the shareware version does in fact only include the
  21.  first section of the book i.e. 'Classical' and should ship on two
  22.  disks.

  24.  If you like what you see, then you should consider registering
  25.  the software.  Because for the measly sum of £4 (inc. UK p&p), I
  26.  will send you the complete version which includes; 170 cross
  27.  referenced entries, 55 hi-res colour pictures, a master index,
  28.  and ships on three disks!

  44.  It was an extremely tight squeeze to get 'Tome of Myths' runnning
  45.  in 1 Meg, and so as a result you will be unable to have the
  46.  background music playing whilst reading the books.  You can still
  47.  listen to the music but must stop it before opening a book (press
  48.  both mouse buttons).  Signs of a low memory condition include
  49.  incomplete displaying of pages and being unable to display the
  50.  pictures.
